Euphorbia trigona (also known as "High Chaparall" and "African Milk Tree") is a perennial plant that originally comes from West Africa.
It has an upright stem that is branched into three or four sides. The stem itself is dark green with V-shaped light green patterns. This cactus has 5 millimetres long thorns which are placed in pairs on the stem's ridges. The leaves grow from between the two thorns on each ridge. The plant's flowers are white or a combination of white and light yellow. The sap (or latex) from the cactus can cause skin irritations.
